Chihuahuas are known for their distinct temperament and characteristics. Here’s a summary of what you can expect from this breed:
Temperament:
- Devoted and Loyal: Chihuahuas form strong bonds with their owners and are fiercely loyal.
- Excitable and Sociable: When properly raised and socialized, Chihuahuas are loving and sociable toward loved ones. They show their true colors at home and away from the world
- Clannish: Chihuahuas tend to prefer the company of other Chihuahuas.
- Suspicious of Strangers: They can be reserved around people they don’t know.
- Watchdogs: Their keen sense of hearing makes them excellent watchdogs. They can detect strangers and other dogs from a distance
Characteristics:
- Size: They are small in stature, making them portable and convenient for apartment living.
- Health: Generally healthy with a lifespan of 12-18 years.
- Coat: Can be short or longhaired, smooth or wirehaired.
Good to Know:
- Fragility: Due to their small size, Chihuahuas are fragile. You must be extra careful not to accidentally hurt or step on them.
- Sensitive Stomachs: Their digestive system is sensitive. Feed them a healthy diet and avoid oily, spicy, and fatty foods.
- Not Great with Small Children: Chihuahuas may not tolerate rambunctious kids. Children under six years old might get bitten or growled at, as they may not understand the dog’s personality and fragility
- Diet: They have sensitive stomachs and require a healthy diet specific to their needs.
Chihuahuas are energetic and need to run and play, but they can get plenty of exercise indoors. Because of their small size, you need to take extra safety precautions if you go outside.

One day I saw our pup Layla and inquired about her not thinking much about it and was very responsive. I asked a couple general questions and they were able to get the answers I was looking for. Almost seemed to good to be true, (I’m a huge skeptic). When I asked more in depth questions they were able to answer all of them and put my mind at ease that this was a genuine site. Dachshund PuppyThis was a very good experience and a HUGE shout out to our concierge and breeder. They were so kind and patient. The main part of where I was satisfied was the trust in the process. There are SO many scams out there that I was very hesitant at the beginning of this process, fearing I wouldn’t find a reputable source. I did with them.. The only negative is that this was more expensive than had I gone out on my own. This was likely worth it given the trust that I could have in the process, but that would be my advice to someone who asked in terms of pros and cons. Thank you. He’s already a natural fit for our family.

PuppyAmazing! Communication was so consistent. Every time I asked a question, my questions were answered them respectfully and nicely. They provided us with pictures of our puppy’s parents and pictures of her. We bought a puppy shes beautiful and healthy. She’s the sweetest baby girl and amazing!! When we reserved her, it took her about a week for her to arrive! We got all the vaccination records and everything! I would recommend them to anyone! One thing I would say is that she didn’t come potty trained (they did let me know that the breeders/owners were working on it) so I assume the potty training wasn’t officially completed, and even tho I would’ve rathered her be potty trained, but I do keep the breeders into consideration about them having the parents and the puppies to take care of, so might’ve been very overwhelming. We’re working on potty training, so we’re not upset, she is just a puppy it’s very understandable!! She’s amazing and they were amazing.
